CH4IG Project will organise workshops on inclusive and sustainable growth in Southeast Asia

ICCROM, in collaboration with partners from the United Kingdom and Southeast Asia region, and with the support of the British Council, will hold three online workshops throughout December 2022 and January 2023 as part of the Cultural Heritage for Inclusive Growth (CH4IG) project. The workshops will encourage discussions about approaches to linking heritage conservation and economic development with inclusive social and environmental outcomes.

The first workshop, to be held from 13 to 14 December 2022, will address topics that touch on the practice of heritage institutions, NGOs, civil society organizations, professionals and researchers in Southeast Asia to build dialogue and promote exchange on approaches, strategies and methods from different cultural contexts. The event is designed for the projects submitted to the CH4IG programme up until September 2022, and that were considered to be valuable contributions to these discussions.

Conservation of built heritage, urban heritage regeneration and revival of arts and crafts are driving themes to be explored within the inclusive growth framework for improving lives, socially and economically, through a people-centred approach.

More information will be available soon.
